BPH: is a common urologic condition in men in which there is benign growth of the prostate. This
benign growth can lead to difficulty urinating as well as other urinary problems. The usual
treatment includes medications which usually improves the force of stream. Dr. Ead offers
several other minimally invasive treatment options for BPH such as such REZUM water vapor therapy, which is performed under local anesthesia in the office setting. Dr. Ead also performs the UROLIFT procedure, which is performed at the outpatient surgery center.

Erectile dysfunction: is a common urologic condition in men of all ages. There are many causes
of ED such as decreased circulation to the penile blood vessels, nerve damage, hormonal
changes or psychologic causes. The first line treatment for ED includes medication therapy
(Viagra, Cialis, Levitra). Other options for treatment of ED includes injectable therapy and
urethral suppository. Dr. Ead can teach patients in the office how to self administer these
medications to the penis directly. Finally, in the event all these treatments fail, he offers the option of
an inflatable penile prosthesis.

Vasectomy: is a commonly performed procedure for male sterilization. It is a simple procedure
that is performed as an outpatient under local anesthesia or in the office. There is very little discomfort associated with the procedure and most men are back to work the next day.

Cancers of the urinary tract: Dr. Ead utilizes the latest in minimally invasive urologic surgery to
treat kidney, bladder and prostate cancers. He is trained in robotics and laparoscopic surgery.

Kidney stones: are a common problem that can cause severe pain and kidney damage. Dr. Ead
offers the entire spectrum of treatment options to manage kidney stones. These include shock
wave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy with the holmium laser and percutaneous nephrostolithotomy.
Once the kidney stones are treated Dr. Ead works diligently with his patients to help with dietary
modification and stone prevention.

Stress urinary: incontinence is a common condition in women. This is a condition whereby
women leak urine with coughing, sneezing or laughing. Dr. Ead offers a vaginal sling procedure
to manage this condition. This procedure is done thru a small, vaginal incision as an outpatient.
